Fashion East: Louise Alsop, A/W 14

Here I was, wondering why Louise Alsop‘s raw-edged, fraying, layered collection for the Fashion East LFW show struck such a chord with me. Then, with only a tiny amount of Googling, I discovered (via here) that Louise listens to Daniel Johnston and Fugazi whilst working, and was inspired by the 90s for this collection. As it is, I’m listening to Rites of Spring (an earlier version of Fugazi) whilst working, and have been obsessed with the 90s for about a year now. I feel like we’re kindred spirits or something. Particularly after accidentally zooming in on that last piece, allowing me to see this:
